A bolt on here, a computer tweak here, and you have the makings of a tire shredding, pavement pounding monster. But, let's face it, not all of us want to be replacing the back tires on our trucks every other weekend, so there isn't much need for the average Joe to be investing in new injectors and stronger rods to handle the massive amounts of power these diesel engines are capable of. Sticking to basics of powering up a diesel engine is probably the safest and easiest power gains you will get, and simply adding an air intake and exhaust will work wonders for your truck.
