How-To: Install Wise Industries BedRug Bedliner Photos & Story By Michael Schuerlein, michaels@truckblog.com

That is where Wise Industries' BedRug Bedliner comes into play. Made of a non-skid, polypropylene fiber surface that looks and feels like carpet but is entirely plastic, so it is unaffected by water, dirt, grease, oil, acid, bleach or solvents. BedRug is impervious to stains and will not fade or mildew. It is also easy to clean using only a vacuum, hose or pressure washer. Bonded to BedRug's plastic surface is a layer of water-resistant, closed-cell polypropylene foam that will not scratch the truck bed. The custom molded foam bottom is conformed exactly to a truck's bed ribs, creating a smooth and level "knee-friendly" surface. BedRug's bulkhead, tailgate and sidewall sections also are custom formed for the truck bed. Unlike sprayed-in bedliners, the BedRug is removable, reusable and resalable. And because BedRug protects the original truck bed from dents, scratches and rust, it ultimately enhances the resale value of the truck it is installed in. The BedRug installs in less than one hour using hook and loop fasteners. It is backed by the BedRug 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee and a complete customer satisfaction warranty from Wise Industries Inc. for the lifetime of the truck it is installed in. In choosing a BedRug, we were thinking ahead on installing a Tonneau cover that would basically make the bed a giant trunk. Knowing we did not haul anything more then some sports equipment or the occasional surfboard in the bed of our truck, a spray in liner wasn't an option. We wanted something that would protect whatever cargo we had in the bed, and look great at the same time. Before starting to install your BedRug, it is Wise (Who can resist a pun?) to first rinse out your bed with soap and water and allow time to dry. This will ensure that your bed is free of any and all road debris and dust for later installation steps. This would also be a good time to gather up the other tools you will need for the installation. Tools Required:
Beginning The Installation: To begin the installation, you must first remove the 4 tie down hooks using the T30 torx socket. There are two bolts holding each tie down to the bed of the truck. Once you have the tie downs removed, you can move onto the rest of the installation.
