Once you have completed this step, smooth over the areas to make sure the fasteners have adhered properly. The tailgate is one of the easiest steps because you are in a natural working position (Standing!). To complete the tailgate section, place the 60" section of fastener to the top of the tailgate. Next, place the 2" strips where indicated by the indentations. Clean the areas where these will adhere to the tailgate and remove the backing. Press down where your fasteners are to make sure they adhere properly. Once finished with this step, your installation is almost complete! If you wish to re-install your tie down hooks, pull back the sections of carpet where the bolt holes are located and hand tighten the bolts in their respective holes. Reattach the BedRug and grab your razor knife. Feel around for the bolt heads and cut a small X incision over the bolt heads. Press on the carpet until the rug goes over the bolts. Do this for all four locations and reattach your tie downs. You are now finished installing your Wise Industries BedRug Bedliner! Take a step back and admire your work and visualize yourself tailgating in style at your next carshow or sporting event! ![]()
