The Detroit Free Press reported yesterday that Detroit Automaker Ford Motor Company will announce the production of an additional truck under the popular F-150 platform at this week's International Auto Show in New York City.

"The new F-150 FX2 Sport, a rear-wheel-drive version of the rugged F-150 FX4 off-road truck, will play a critical role in helping the pickup line achieve its goals. Eckert said Ford is hoping to sell about 40,000 of the new FX2 Sport trucks annually after it hits showrooms in September."
