9. Unbolt each stud on the engine block and clean off any grime and exhaust build up. You want to ensure a smooth surface for the new header flanges.


10. Install the newly supplied header gaskets as well as the studs you removed from the block. Metal spacers are to be installed on the studs before the header is installed. Then, slowly slide the stainless headers into their locations, being careful not to bash them into the suspension mounts. Bolt the headers into place using the header bolt kit. Finally, attach and tighten the EGR nut.

12. Install the catalytic converters to the headers using the 3 screws provided per side.


13. Install the extension piping on both sides using the stainless band clamps.


14.For this particular kit we had to add a Y-pipe to the system because this truck only had one running muffler.


Finally, use anti-seize compound around the O2 sensor threads before installing. It will be necessary to use the supplied extension cables for the front sensors to connect to the header. Some models require you to remove the tang(s) or “clips” from the extension connector at one end. Once installed, tighten all bolts starting with the headers first. *

* We recommend rechecking all bolts and connections after the system has been started and has gone through one heat cycle.
