More in: Chevrolet ![]() Earlier this year we reported Kelderman was teaming up with Goodyear and the Ronald McDonald House charities, and now they are doing it again with Sprint. At SEMA Kelderman debuted their Sprint Sound & Speed show truck, a lifted 2005 Chevy 2500HD Duramax 4x4 truck which of course features a 12" Kelderman air ride lift kit, a plethora of Bilstein 7100 shocks, Banks 6 Gun performance bundle, audio and video by Kenwood, Weld Racing 22" Cheyenne wheels wrapped in Nitto 40" Mud Grappler rubber and topped off with off with a Ram Air hood and graphics designed and installed by APE Wraps. Kelderman Teams With Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust - A Celebration of Music and Motorsports Proceeds to benefit Kyle Petty’s Victory Junction Gang Camp and The Country Music Hall of Fame® & Museum Oskaloosa, Iowa (November 2, 2005) - Jeff Kelderman is known for building heart stopping, head turning show trucks that often are found on the cover of prominent automotive magazines, and featured on leading cable truck TV shows. This time, Kelderman’s Sprint Sound & Speed show truck will debut at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV, Nov. 1-4, 2005, and will then be showcased outside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum during the first annual Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust. This unique two-day event on January 13 & 14, 2006, will combine the drivers and cars of NASCAR, with some of the top stars of country music. All proceeds will benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Honorary co-chairs are country music legend, Vince Gill, president of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Board of Officers and Trustees, and Kyle Petty, co-founder of the Victory Junction Gang Camp. The Victory Junction Gang Camp is a not-for-profit organization that provides a free camp experience for children with a chronic medical condition or serious illness. This summer, Kelderman rode on his fourth Kyle Petty Annual Charity Ride Across America. Since Kelderman Manufacturing is located in Oskaloosa, IA, Jeff had his fleet of show trucks on display during the groups overnight stay in Cedar Rapids, IA. A number of Sound & Speed committee members were also on the ride, and were awed by the Kelderman-designed mega trucks.
“When we got a chance to see Jeff’s show trucks in person, we could clearly understand why he is considered one of the country’s foremost truck builders. When Jeff began to describe the projects he has completed, and has in the works; building over-the-top trucks specifically matched to the personality and lifestyle of different celebrities in the fields of NASCAR and country music, it just seemed a natural fit to get him involved with Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust,” said committee member Frank Franzese. The Sprint Sound & Speed celebration is a collaborative effort to combine the drivers and cars of NASCAR with the stars of country music. This year’s event will include: interactive fan attractions, driver and artist autograph sessions, the display of 2006 NEXTEL Cup Series cars, exhibit of vintage cars, historic artifacts from racing and country music legends, an auction of music and racing memorabilia, interviews with both current and legendary stars of NASCAR and country music, performances by country music up and comers, and a closing concert event featuring country duo Montgomery Gentry, GRAMMY-winning country star LeAnn Rimes, and hot newcomer Keith Anderson at Nashville’s Gaylord Entertainment Center Saturday, January 14, 2006. The Sprint Sound & Speed show truck, a 2005 Chevy 2500HD Duramax 4X4, will be on display just outside of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on both event days. In addition to the awesome Sprint Sound & Speed graphics designed and installed by APE Wraps(apewraps.com), the truck will feature a 12” Kelderman air ride lift kit with Kelderman engineered straight axle Dana suspension kit, Accu-Air computerized ride control system, Bilstein 7100 shock absorbers, Banks 6 Gun power system with Banks stainless exhaust, Kenwood audio/video system featuring four amps, fourteen speakers, six video monitors and navigation, Weld Racing 22” x 12” Cheyenne wheels, Nitto, 40” X 15.50” X 22” Mud Grappler tires, and an APM Ram Air Hood. Jeff Kelderman is actually no stranger to concepting and creating show trucks for charities. He recently customized Kasey Kahne’s (driver of the Evernham Motorsports #9 Dodge) 2005 Dodge Ram for the Goodyear Garage Sweepstakes and auction, to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Jeff participated in the presentation of a check for $25,000 to Ronald McDonald with Kasey Kahne and Greg Stucker, Goodyear Race Tire’s director of sales and marketing , during a news conference in Charlotte, NC. on October 12, 2005.
