Whether you are in the market for a bed liner for your truck, or are possibly going to have one added to your new ride by the dealership there are a couple reasons why you need to consider adding a Line-X spray in liner instead of the other generic spray ins or (God forbid) a drop in liner.

So, why exactly are we recommending Line-X over everyone else? It must the millions of dollars they are sending us to write this... right! No, Jim and I both have Line-X spray-ins on our truck and neither of us have ever had an issue with them and we are both firm believers in promoting a good product.

I have had a Rhino liner installed in my truck, and my brothers Dodge came from the dealership with a free drop-in, which was immediately dropped-out. Now, the drop-in liners are a no brainer to remove as they can easily cause as much damage to your trucks bed as they can prevent. By locking moistures between the plastic and the bed, they promote corrosion on your trucks bed which is rapidly produced because the bed's protective layer of paint is being destroyed by the constant chafing of the plastic on metal as you truck drives down the road.

I mentioned I had a Rhino liner in my truck once before and I actually liked it, until it started getting older and lost it's shine. Now, the loss of shine can easily be fixed with a little Forever Black Truck Bed Liner Gel but the part I didn't like about my Rhino Liner was that it was a very soft compound and while helping someone move (you know, because you have a truck) a 38" TV gouged the liner and cut a large, noticeable section out of it. Now, I'm sure this could have been repaired, but it certainly wasn't covered under warranty so as a result, it was never repaired.

This is one of the major differences I have seen between Line-X and some of the other name brands. Line-X has a full lifetime warranty, with nationwide service, so it doesn't matter who you are helping to move, it can be repaired. Additional reasons we like Line-X over the competitors is doesn't seem to have any real problems with the Texas sun, it looses it shine after a while but it doesn't get brittle or crack. It's extremely resilient to impact and cutting and again, it's got an awesome warranty.

My last reason for liking Line-X so much is that it's bomb proof and is now being employed in an industrial application to protect the good men and woman of the United States armed services and is the only coating approved by the US Air Force for anti-terrorism bomb blast protection
