More in: Ford, Recall, Safety Back in March and January we reported on the Ford recall for pickups and SUVs which repaird a speed control switch problem that allowed the vehicles to catch fire, while parked.
This week, according to Channel 2 News in Houston, Texas, the local investigators are alleging that the switch recall issue claimed two homes early Tuesday morning from a 2002 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Edition pickup truck. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, even though families were home. "Officials said the flames spread to the truck owner's home and a neighboring house before firefighters could extinguish the flames. Both homes and the pickup truck were destroyed." Full Story...
