The 2009 Suzuki Equator pickup truck has been found roaming around Southern California, baring the first glimpse of the truck based off of the Nissan Frontier pickup platform. Suzuki have not released any pictures since the Chicago Auto Show back in February so the fact that this project is live and kicking is surprising.

In these spy shots you'll see a crew cab configuration, which will be offered in a two and four wheel drive model. Under the hood you can find Nissan's 2.5 liter four cylinder engine or their larger 4.0 liter six cylinder both of which are found in the Nissan Frontier. The exterior has not changed from the preview shots earlier this year, so it will be interesting to find out how the truck actually turns out when it goes officially on sale this Fall.
