More in: Ford, New Products
Ford Motor Company have made the executive decision to delay the introduction of the new 2009 Ford F-150 by two months in reaction to high gasoline prices and slumping interest by consumers. Love interest for their once number one selling vehicle in the United States has fallen dramatically, down thirty percent this year alone compared to one year ago. Ford says the 2009 F-150 will go on sale in the late fall. "In the near term, we are adjusting production to the actual demand by increasing small cars and crossovers and reducing large trucks and SUVs" stated Ford CEO, Alan Mulally. Production of the 2009 F-150 will begin in August at the Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri. In the mean time, Ford have been playing around in the mud at the Ford proving grounds with their new pickup truck, teasing us with some down and dirty photos. Check them out and see for yourself.
