It's not easy to get one by us here at Truckblog as we constantly scour the latest news and manufacturers media sites for snippets of truck related news, however DiamlerChrysler's Jeep division did just that. We knew they would be debuting the Gladiator at the Detroit auto show, but we hadn't even heard about the Jeep Hurricane.

The Hurricane was a discreetly built concept Jeep that uses everything DiamlerChrysler had available to create the ultimate off-road, hot rod, dune buggy monster. This vehicle is literally the most powerful and versatile 4x4 ever produced sporting 670 hp and 740 lb-ft torque from it's Powertrain and revolutionary 4 wheel steering system which allows this vehicle to actually "turn on a dime". Yes, the Hurricane is really something you're going to have to see to believe, but we aren't going to spoil the fun today. Check back with us tomorrow for a full write up and gallery of this concept - That's right, we have all the pictures.

The Gladiator is a different story as we first heard about it some time ago, but just like Jeep wanted we were held in suspense for months about this new vehicle also. Just looking at this retro design and long bed, it seems as if Jeep wants to take on the US's thriving pickup market, but it's a little early to tell as no official announcements have been made. When asked Chrysler styling director Trevor Creed said, “It’s built to take along all the toys you want”, which gets our award for safe answer of the year. Well, just like Jeep's Hurricane, we finally have pictures and the spec sheet for the Gladiator, so expect a full review later this week.
