The wheels keep getting bigger and bigger but it's rare to see anyone rolling larger that 20 inch wheels. Every once in a while you will spot that Lincoln Navigator rolling around on 24's or 26's but what's the biggest off-road wheel you have seen?

If you have seen Godzilla rolling the streets of Orangevale, CA then you have seen Kevin Benfield's 1997 Ford Expedition 4x4 and of course, it's rolling the biggest diameter street legal wheel that supports an off-road tire making it impossible not to notice those huge Asanti Alligator 22 x 10 inch rims wrapped in aggressive 40 inch Toyo OpenCountry rubber. Even if you are able to somehow miss this incredible tire and wheel combination, the rest of Godzilla is going to grab your attention just like the sci-fi prehistoric lizard this Expedition draws it's name from, without the mass destruction.

In order to provide ample clearance for 40 inches of rolling rubber the SUV was lifted a total of 11 inches with a combination of different methods. Providing the basis for the 11 inch total lift is a Fabtech 6" suspension lift and a Performance Accessories 3" body lift, however that still is only 9 inches of lift. To gain the additional lift, Darryl's Fabrication of Rancho Cordova, CA created a set of custom billet spring spacers, gaining the additional two inches of lift which completes the total lift height. Dampening the trucks massive wheels against its intensely lifted suspension, this green monster uses a set of 2 chromed Rancho RS 9000 shocks per wheel which provides plenty of dampening while riding down the road. Additionally the suspension on this beast has been upgraded with Energy Suspension urethane bushings and detailed.
