Toyota Motor Corp has outsold General Motors again in global sales, according to The Detroit News. The number one automaker sold 2.41 million vehicles in the first quarter of 2008, with General Motors in second with 2.25 million. General Motors' Executive Director of Global Markets, Mike DiGiovanni, stated "We obviously want to win...We'd like to be No. 1 in sales at the end of the year and were going to compete hard for every sale to do that". This comes after General Motors Corp's global sales actually fell one percent in the first quarter of this year, a grim reminder of an ailing economy.
