The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2008 Ford F-150 5.4L V8, (part no. 63-2556), increases horsepower by 15.47 hp at 3829 rpm over the F-150’s stock configuration. To achieve more horsepower, K&N replaces the original intake assembly; including the air box, air filter and intake tube with an all-new intake design. The new system draws air through a K&N High-Flow Air Filter that increases airflow and filtering capacity, and never needs to be replaced. Protecting the chrome top cone-shaped air filter, and isolating it from engine heat, is a powder coated steel heat shield that replaces the F-150’s stock air box. As it passes the filter, air travels through a larger diameter K&N Roto-Molded Polyethylene Tube that is formed and shaped, in the design phase, to drive a more laminar flow of air to the 5.4L V8 engine. The 63-2556 is available where quality performance is sold and is backed by the same K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty® as all K&N OE Replacement Air Filters. K&N Engineering, Inc., with headquarters in Riverside, California, has been the world's leader in performance filter technology since 1969, serving the needs of the automotive, motorcycle, marine, industrial and military markets.
