Rostra Precision Controls Inc. has introduced a RearSight(r) back-up camera system for the 2008 Nissan Titan and 2008 Ford F-150.

The new RearSight system (part #250-8036) is designed to assist drivers in avoiding back-up accidents. Rostra's kit features 0.5 Lux shrouded CCD color camera that mounts in the license plate section of the truck. The camera has a 150-degree, anti-fog lens and a waterproof case.

A 3.5-inch TFT-LCD monitor equipped with a hidden dashboard mounting bracket provides drivers with a wide angle view behind the truck. The screen has three video inputs and a reverse override function.

"Our new RearSight kit helps drivers prevent back-up collisions while complementing the look of the Nissan Titan and Ford F-150," said Sibyl Ringsdorf, manager of marketing and national accounts, Rostra Precision Controls Inc. "The in-vehicle monitor mounts onto the trucks' dashboard coin tray for a quick installation."

Professional installation is recommended for the Titan/F-150 RearSight kit, which comes with a 30-foot extension harness and can be installed in less than 30 minutes.
