Chrysler has issued a recall for the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Commander SUV's, due to a problem with the vehicle stalling while driving. “The front control module may have been incorrectly manufactured. This could cause the engine to stall while driving or nor to start", stated The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

There was also a report of the windshield wipers failing, stating "Engine stalling or inoperative wipers could cause a crash without warning”. I never knew that you can crash without warning due to windshield wipers malfunctioning?

If you are affected by this recall, you can contact Chrysler directly at 1-800-853-1401 or the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153). Dealerships will inspect the front control module and replace the unit if necessary.
