There are only but two interfaces between the driver the vehicle – the pedals and the steering wheel. Accounting fifty percent of the driver’s input to the vehicle, pedals are equally important as the steering wheel! That’s why in the racing world, pedals are such a critical part of the race vehicle. Any erroneous blip of the throttle, stab of the brake, or slip off the clutch results in the difference between first place and the retaining wall! Translate that onto the street, and the stakes could be higher – your ego and pride could get hurt if you miss a shift! Racing pedals add more traction to your pedals in any conditions, wet or dry. In Seattle, where we know wet, these pedals definitely prove their worth. On any given rainy day, you walk into your truck with a pair of wet boots, it would be a disaster waiting to happen with the stock rubber pedal pads – this coming from first hand, err, foot experience. Given the high plate load of a diesel truck clutch, it does take a good deal of effort to fully depress the pedal. And if you’re not careful, it will spring back, wedging your foot between pedal and the firewall! With these aluminum pedal covers from AutoVation, that problem is no longer a concern. The “Endurance Series” pedals have feature CNC pedal surfaces with machined grid surfaces that “Anti-Slip” raised edges that provide tons more grip than any factory pedal. Additionally, with 50% more material than their lightweight “Race” counterparts, they add a bit more heft to the pedals. In my book, form always follows function, and everything always has a function! But in the case of these pedals, you get to have your cake and eat it too. In addition to proving a grippy pedal surface, the curved surfaces match the factory curvature of every pedal, including the parking brake! So fit and finish is second to none. So the final verdict: these pedals look as well as they look. Especially when you open the door to a lifted truck, with the pedals just about eye level, the add tons of pizzazz to the interior. Here are some of the highlights of the Endurance Series pedals from Autovation: • Designed for high end luxury sedans, trucks & sport utility vehicles • Aircraft grade 6000 series aluminum 50% thicker and heavier than ‘Race’ series • Available in all existing finishes (machined, competition, insert and grid) • Improved heel toe • Anti-Slip Grip • Simple install • CNC Machined • Engineered for specific make and model Discuss now in our forums: Lightening the Lightning Diesel Racing - Clash of the Titans America Loves Trucks: Like we didn't know that! 2005 SRT-10 Quad Cab? 2004 Ford Explorer Flip Trac Hybrid News From Ford & GM New Doors Opening For Ford Ford to Cut 1,100 CAW Jobs, Eh!
