If you spend a lot of time in the bed of your pickup truck, you know first-hand how banged up your knees can get. Unlike typical bed liners that are slick (plastic bed liners) or hard (spray-on bed liners) and cause things to fly around when you're turning a corner, the BedRug provides a soft surface that's not only easy on your knees but also keeps your stuff from banging around. We installed the latest BedRug from Wise Industries on our Project Truckblog, a 2005 Ford F-150 SuperCrew.

BedRugs are custom fitted for hundreds of pickup trucks. They are made of marine-grade carpet that is weatherproof and mildew resistant, and easy to wash. They are extremely durable, and can easily turn your pickup truck's bed into a gigantic truck by topping off your bed with a tonneau cover.

Installation

Be sure to read all the instructions before installing, even though the installation of a BedRug is a fairly simple process. It should take you approximately an hour to install the BedRug, if you take your time.

First, remove the BedRug from the box. The BedRug is shipped with the floor and sides unzipped, so the first thing to do is zip it up! There is a single zipper, and like a suitcase, it goes all around the sides just once.

Next, before you put the BedRug in your bed, you must apply all the hook fasteners to the BedRug. The loop fastening system is industrial-strength Velcro-like strips designed to hold your BedRug bedliner in the bed of your truck, even without a tonneau cover. The fasteners, shown to the right, are applied to the BedRug and the bed of your truck as indicated below.

Here are some shots of the hook fasteners applied to our F-150's new BedRug:

The illustration above, combined with our photos should give you an very good idea as to where the hook fasteners should be applied.
