Chrysler Brings Diesel Powered Light Duty Trucks To Market After 2009

Chrysler LLC announced yesterday, that they will produce diesel-powered light-duty pickup trucks after 2009, to help improve fuel efficiency numbers for larger vehicles and meet new emission standards. "Frank Klegon, executive vice president of product development for Chrysler, said in prepared remarks that an all-new turbo diesel engine by Cummins Inc. will deliver a 30 percent improvement in fuel efficiency and cut carbon emissions by up to 20 percent compared with a gasoline engine.". Klegon also announced that Chrysler will be upgrading their 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine with significant improvements. Source: Yahoo Finance
