GM 4.5-liter Turbodiesel Makes Way to Pickups

AutoWeek reported today, "General Motors announced it will build a turbocharged 4.5-liter Duramax clean diesel V8 making in excess of 310 hp and 520-lb-ft of torque for use in light-duty trucks and Hummer H2s built after 2009. The engine will have four valves per cylinder and dual overhead cams. The heads will be aluminum with integrated manifolds."
