How-To: Install a MBRP Exhaust on Project JAKD

One of the most common questions asked today is, "what exhaust should I put on my truck?" For us, the answer is simple "MBRP Inc Performance Exhaust". The MBRP Pro-Series was the exhaust of choice for Project "JAKD"…A T-304 Stainless Steel 4" Turbo Back exhaust with a mirror polished Stainless Steel Dual Wall Angled 6" Tip. T-304 stainless steel is the industry's premium material for exhaust use. It will not rust, discolor or deteriorate over time. We wanted an exhaust that would remain show quality for the life of the truck. The quality of the stainless steel wasn't the only determining factor in choosing our exhaust. Other notable benefits of the MBRP system are as follows:

1. Modularity: MBRP allows the user to configure their exhaust any way they choose. Whether it is a muffler delete, or a CAT delete, MBRP offers delete/test pipes that are easily installed or removed using simple hand tools without any welding or custom fabrication required. The user also has the option of a full Turbo Back with their choice of 3.5" or 4" down pipes or just a simple CAT Back exhaust. MBRP also offers their exhausts in either 4" or 5" variants and have a full line of exhaust tips that range up to 6" that will satisfy any theme or style the user desires.

2. Performance: Performance gains with the system are lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGT's) while providing quicker turbo spool up time, fuel mileage gains which will vary by individual driving style, and horsepower and torque gains.

3. Quality: All MBRP systems are mandrel bent. This produces round, smooth, and wrinkle free bends which ensures smooth and unrestricted exhaust flow. Most automotive exhaust pipes use compression bending which causes flat spots and wrinkles which restricts the flow of exhaust. MBRP also offers exhaust systems either in Aluminized, T-409 Stainless, or T-304 Stainless depending on budget.

4. Ease of Installation: All systems come complete with all required hardware, clear concise instructions with plenty of pictures, and are easily installed with simple hand tools. There is no welding or fabrication required.

5. Customer Service/Tech Support: MBRP prides themselves with providing top of the line customer service and technical support available. Assistance in any of these areas are easily accessed through a toll free number with technical experts ready to walk even the least experienced installer through the installation process.

6. Warrantee:

    a. Installer Series (Aluminized): 1yr from date of purchase
    b. XP Series (T-409 Stainless Steel): 10yrs from date of purchase
    c. Pro Series (T-304 Stainless Steel): Lifetime Warrantee

With our decision made, we contacted MBRP and ordered the S6206304 Pro Series system. The MBRP Pro Series exhaust system came packaged perfectly with form fitting foam to protect the pipes during shipment. Upon opening the box we were amazed at the quality of the T-304 SS. The entire system had a flawless mirror finish. We couldn't wait to get it on the truck because we knew it was really going to set off the entire undercarriage, in addition to the performance gains received from installing the system. Everything required for the install was included right down to detailed instructions that included pictures of every step. One notable observation was how well the instructions were written. It truly facilitates understanding for anyone interested in installing the system for themselves.

For over fifteen years MBRP Inc. has been delivering performance enthusiast the most in power, the most in product quality and the most in customer responsiveness. It all began with the now famous B&B Eliminator, which soon achieved the status as the best selling performance snowmobile silencer of all time. Starting from little more than a vision and an absolute passion for all things performance MBRP Inc. is now at the forefront of performance exhaust technology. Marshalling over ten decades of manufacturing and marketing expertise between them, the MBRP design team developed a line of performance diesel exhaust products that has made the rest of the industry take notice, and rush to catch up.

Most recently MBRP Inc. has achieved something special for the sports truck enthusiast. The new sport line brings to the gasoline powered vehicle the same perfect blend of style and toughness that diesel light truck owners have come to expect from MBRP. The line features a unique flow through muffler originally developed to increase the performance of thousand horsepower off shore marine engines. The result is a muffler that generates a deeper, mellow sound, improved performance numbers and cooler operating temperatures.

The central reason behind MBRP Inc.'s remarkable growth has been its absolute dedication, not just to excellence in its products, but also to standing behind its distributors and dealers and the loyalty that they have given back in return. This commitment has been demonstrated in many ways. A diesel line with the lowest SKU/ vehicles supported ratio means that warehouse distributors require lower standing inventory and enjoy faster product turnover. Offering all its diesel systems in aluminized, T-409 stainless and T-304 stainless ensures that dealers have a price point and product for every customer's need and pocketbook. Full bolt-on design and clear, well written instructions mean that jobbers can install most of MBRP's systems with minimal tools and in under forty-five minutes. And for everyone, toll free technical support that can talk even the least experienced installer through the process.

For the future, MBRP Inc. is determined to provide the highest fill rates in the industry, offer the most complete line of exhaust for diesel and sports truck enthusiasts and to always be pushing upward the definition of performance.
