The Installation

The crew at Truck Toyz conducted the installation of the S6206304 Pro Series system. As previously mentioned the installation is very straight forward and supported by clear and concise instructions. The experienced crew at Truck Toyz conducts all forms of suspension, custom fabrication, and performance related installations on a daily basis. They literally had the stock exhaust off and the new Pro Series system on and adjusted in less than 30 minutes.

Removal of the stock exhaust system

1. Apply a penetrating lubricant liberally to all exhaust fasteners, hangers and rubber grommets. This will ease the removal of parts as the stock system is disassembled.

2. Loosen the nut on the band clamp located behind the catalytic converter (CAT) using a 15mm wrench or socket.

3. Remove the muffler and tail pipe from the OEM rubber hangers. Separate the stock exhaust at the slip joint located behind the catalytic converter and remove the muffler and tail pipe from under the truck.

4. Remove the catalytic converter by removing the two nuts holding the inlet flange together using a 15mm wrench or socket. Retain the nuts for the re-installation of the CAT

5. Cut the down pipe in front of the transmission cross member to remove. Remove the down pipe from the turbo by removing the band clamp using an 11mm socket. Retain the band clamp for the installation of the new down pipe. Note: The stock down pipe can be removed in one piece if desired by supporting the transmission and removing the transmission cross member.

6. The stock exhaust is now totally removed
