Can anyone point me to where I can find wiring diagrams for my '05 F-150. Specifically, I am looking for the wiring diagram for the OEM radio.

The truck has the audiophile head unit with the six disc cd changer. It also has the rear seat entertainment system. The rear seat entertainment system has RCA inputs so you can hook up a game system, etc. I can plug an mp3 player into those inputs and select them on the head unit by pressing the AUX button. What I would like to do is tap into the wires that go from the RCA jacks in the back to the radio and install a mini-stereo jack somewhere in the dash area. I can then plug my TomTom GPS into that jack to play music and get the navigation directions through the trucks speakers.

The TomTom does have an FM modulator built in, but is very difficult to find an unused FM station frequency, especially on a longer trip. Having it wired directly eliminates that problem.

I know that there is an adapter that I can plug into the radio harness that will provide RCA inputs (PIE X3), but it is a bit more than I need and would end up costing over $75.00. It just seems like this should be an easy thing to do, if I could get some information on which wires to tap into.

Have you tried using a radio station below 90.1 those are usually unused and very good for this.

Yup. I am currently using 87.9. It works OK, but there is still some static. If the TOmTom is off and the radio is on that station, it gets a signal from an adjacent station when I am driving around.

The quality of sound from a direct wired connection seems to be much better.

That would be excellent! Thanks.

Would it be possible to email the files to me, since they are on DVD?

That would be great.
