I have owned my 06 Silverado for just over a year. It has 29k on it. I recently made a drive down a long hill which caused me to use the brakes extensively. While doing this the brakes heated up and the front end began shaking as if it sustained severve rotar damage. After leaving the hill and driving for approximately 60 miles, there was no more shaking. This has occurred 3 times. I believe they are factory rotars. Can anyone tell me if this is common with the chevy's? If so would a after market rotars remedy this problem?
