I'd like to point out that Lynn's #2 choice was the Seattle Roadster Show. Probably because of the nice people that accompanied him (and helped him with detailing!).

Check out the latest parts and accessories from Truck Hownd

If you were any good, it would've been #1.

And quit name dropping.

that seems like a pretty good list..

never heard of most of those shows..

I wonder how many trucks were at some of those hotrod sponsered shows tho..

Im also wondering why he called Severed Ties a gang.. there has got to be a story there.. Most bigger shows are put on my clubs, or atleast started out that way..

the Texas Heatwave was originally put on by a club I was in called Custom Miniz, although about half of its members when I was in were not driving mini-trucks.. I had a slammed mustang with thousands upon thousands of dollars of mods.. my favorites including shaving everything except the gas door.. and the back seat going away and being replaced with a stereo system going all the way back.. oh and I doubled the horsepower..

oh and why no shows this year?? traveling a lot? spending the time on movie sets instead with the family? is it something really cool, or just normal life stuff?

While I would not take anything away from the nice people who helped to Detail a totally destroyed truck after 1200 miles of driving it on a open trailer in the rain. And that job was incredible as it won 1st place which is amazing as it looked like a Rat Rod when we started.

But sorry pal it had nothin to do with you. The Seattle Roadster Show IS one of the very best shows put on in the United States. And the Judging is the hardest of any show in America by far.

How ever we would have never gotten 1st Place without your help.

Arti, The Hot rod shows have about 700 to 1000 cars, Rods, Roadsters, Trucks, Vans. You name it they have it.

No problem Lynn. I wasn't fishing for a complement or a thank-you but I humbly accept them both.

Arti - one big difference in the Roadster shows (it's not a 'hot rod' show) is the quality of the entrants. The cars and trucks entered in them are absolutely above and beyond the typical regional shows. We're talking concours-quality totally rebuilt hand fabricated chromed all over works of sheer beauty and performance.

I've never been to Heatwave to speak with any certainty, but I've seen enough pictures over the years to say that the west coast roadster shows are definately a notch higher.

I guess Id better finish redoing my enterior before I consider driving way over there to enter then.. when I finish most of my enterior next summer it should look pretty sweet.. (roll cage, corbeau seats, and really extensive sound system with 4 12s and lots of amps and signal processors including the 3 old school high end Phoenix Gold amps I still have, etc..) and my exterior already really sticks out..

if the quality is there at those shows, I wanna make sure people dont ask why I entered..

but I would go before I supercharge and then get a much better suspension.. prolly from trucktoyz or something.. (I already have 2 Dana 60s sitting at Muds, but I wanna do everything else while I sit only 10 inches higher then stock, so people would be willing to work on it still)

once I lift the hell out of it.. I dont see a problem in going to any show.. or offroad event.. and I'll really be into going cross country to some of these better shows..

If you're going to be off-roading it - you're probably not going to get into the west coast 'Roadster' shows. They have very high standards. In those shows you'll come across the displays from the likes of Mike LaVallee (killerpaint.com) and Chip Foose and, of course, Greez Lightning's 'Elvira'. These aren't shows of trucks that have been muddin one weekend, you power wash them and then go park them for a show. Some of these folks have spent thousands just on the display itself.

argh.. well I guess I need to go to more of the Jamboree Nationals in the different states then..

plus a few of the other 4x4 based shows.. hopefully where there arent so many mall crawlers..

plus many other Texas events where I can advertise for my continuing list of sponsers and shops that are hooking me up.. like the different heatwaveinc.com events.. I think there are 5 now..
