| I installed a XM receiver in my mom's truck through her sony receiver. It completely blows away FM radio, but I was noticing something was missing something. Almost like there was a couple of narrow bands missing out of the frequency range.
I'm happy without it as long as I have a mp3 receiver. I converted my entire CD collection to 256kbps mp3 format, so now i've got a couple of weeks worth of music, and I could get away with not hearing the same thing play twice in a year.

| I've heard that Sirius will, at some point, require you to pay for streaming internet, but for a while (hopefully still), subscribers get it for free.
The person who told me this said that old subscribers will be grandfathered in, and not have to pay for Internet access to Sirius, but that new subscribers (after the cutoff date, whenever it is) will have to pay to be able to access it over the Internet at all.
Any truth to this?

| If Sirius is smart, they won't do that. XM just went the other way, they stopped charging for internet streaming, and jacked their monthly fee to $12.95 to match Sirius. The extra $3 a month won't be a deal breaker (one less espresso), but that internet thing might be cool, if I ever get off my ass and use it.

| I have the Sirius XACT Visor and love Sirius.
I popped off the wood grain center portion and ran the wires up through the top tray and liner. I mounted the bracket to the tray and then cut a couple of slits in the liner. I installed the antenna through the 3rd brake light and ran the wire along between the trim and headliner and then under the dash. http://fordtruckworld.tenmagazines.com/gallery/BlueFlareside/656009.jpg

| | I have both,XM and Sirius. Sirius in my truck and XM in the wifes Tahoe. We both like the Sirius stations better.Sirius gives you more variety to listen to vs XM.I love the Rock stations on Sirius like Buzzsaw,Octane,Hair nation,Hard attack. To say that Sirius is clearer would be unfair because of the system and watts in my truck compared to her stock Bose system. But i crank up my truck as loud as i can stand it and its crystal clear.I have a Kenwood Excelon system in mine with a 1000 watt amp and JL Audio stealthbox with two 8 " subs. | |
