Well, my wife and I have been looking for a summer place for about 2 months now. We took advantage of the end of season "deals" and the overall decline in the real estate market to pick up a condo in a private community on Lake Winnipesaukee.

This is for 2 reasons:
1: I need a place to store the 350Z for the winter (so we were only looking at places that had a garage)
2: I want a boat, and having a place on or near the water makes it more enjoyable and easier to use, etc.

So, we put in a bid and deposit on a small (~1200sqft) place today, closing is in 2 weeks when we will officially own it.

A couple of pics (I forgot to take a pic of the front):

Heated/carpeted/finished garage (not, thats NOT my car):

Yeah, it's Laconia NH, where bike week is.

I know the links are fucked, I'll fix them tomorrow or something, here is a link to the gallery:

Ok...here's something I don't get. Big, beautiful lake..and they decide to kill a 1/2 acre of lake front proximity on a cheesy pond?...

I had been to Weirs Beach. (sp) I had a great time riding a harley all along there. It's really nice and scenic. My only regret was that I didn't make up to Mt. Washington. I was told I wasn't dressed for it, so not to bother going. It was around Labor day weekend a few years ago. I'm gonna try to make it up there again next summer.

The place looks Great.

Very, very nice.

That is some beautiful country around there. A perfect spot for weekends during 'foliage season'.

Sweet Dev, I did a lot of Partying in Laconia back in the late 70's early 80's when I lived up there.

That looks like a great place to have a second home.

Can I go ahead and schedule the week of August 20-28 of next year for my part of the timeshare?

That is one of my wife's favorite movies. Not sure where that house actually is, but I know it's around somewhere. It was also the same house used in "Patriot Games".

Congrats Bryan!

For the record, it looks like it is on a golf course, which is why the pond is there...

It is on a golf course, but the pond is just decorative. There are 3 ponds in the complex, a private marina, beachhouse, tennis courts, and private pools in some of the "subdivisions". One of the pics of mine shows the pool right out the back door a few steps.

The pond pics in the pictures are actually down near the marina, which is a 5 minute walk from my place.
