Hey all, does anyone know if the back door windows on a 99 denali can roll farther down than a quarter of the way, i know my EXPY had the child windows and they would go ALMOST all the way down but in the denali the only go down about 5 inches i hate this.

Also do anyone know how to access the fatcory sub in the center console, i cant figure out how to get the top of the console off.

Thanks for any and all help

Scott

Hey there Scott! Long time no see!

5" seems to be a little extreme but I don't think you can roll the windows all the way down like you can with the front door windows. Just like with the Expy. But it's not that they're done that way for children's sake - no, they're that way because of the shape of the doors.

Take a look at the picture below (I think that's a '99 Denali). See how the lower right corner of the back door follows the line of the wheel arch? That curve prevents the window frame from retracting into the door all the way. If you look at an Expy you'll see it's the same case.

But again, 5" doesn't seem right to me. If, however, both sides do the same thing - that just might be the way it's meant to be.

Can't help with access the sub short of suggesting a sawzall!

Yeah, that back window thing is one thing that actually put Tahoes and Yukons of that year off my list before I got my Mountaineer. I can deal with it if the window stops an inch or two above the door, but that was a bit extreme for my liking.
