I own a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup. It came with factory installed Sirius Radio. Aftet Sirius and XM combined companies, I wanted to start recieving the best of xm on sirius. Well, I have tried to change my subscription with sirius on five ocasstions. The radio in my truck will not accept the signal from sirius to change my subscription over to the best of xm on sirius. I want to know why my sirius radio is not accepting the signal. And what to do about it, if possible.

Not all the radios are capable of receiving the XM signal. I guess that would be one way of making people buy new units.

I don't think any of the Sirius radios really receive the XM signal. It's more of a "simulcast" sort of thing. I don't know why his unit won't accept the fact that if you get best of XM there are a few new channels in the lineup. However, I really don't think that the "Best of XM" package has anything worth paying for, but that's just MHO.

If you want to get both stations you'll have to have an xm capable receiver. ie "a la carte" crap they sell. Unfortunately with Ford's headunit you'll only be able to get Sirius unless you get a new receiver.

I have 3 XM radios and I have Sirius on my back to get the best of both too. Frankly I think Howard Stearn is a complete moron so I gave them an emphatic NO. Then they tried to sell me three years in advance and I said from what I hear you may not be around in 3 years. Therefore Im taking it a year at a time.

Well I listeded to Howard on his first day of 6 on XM. I was right. Hes a complete moron and it just confirms I dont need Sirius added to my XM.

They called up some lady selling things and two spoke at the same time every time a question was asked which only confused the lady seller. Sound like a stunt two 12 year olds would pull off. But then thats about as far advanced as Howard ever got so he thinks it funny.

lol I remember a field manager, Sal, I was working with several years ago when stern was on normal radio.

Sal was around 65 at the time, and we would find him listening to stern in the job trailer every morning. One day he says to me, 'I like it when he has the hookers on, and calls them whores...' lol I guess you would have had to hear the way this quiet, short pudgy man said it to really laugh....
