That's my g/f aka Mrs.Sprock, but for the record I make the payments, it's in my name and I've put more miles on it lol

Anyhoot it's base model since its main purpse was to haul the bikes, the bed is awesome(perfect) for hauling stuff because the bed rails have adjustable mounts. The CD player is spiffy but the bench seat sucks, when driving I've got to sit with it all the way back and Nedra has to sit all the way forward so I'm always stuck driving it. (unless I'm really drunk and don't care how uncomfortable I am)

I paid a little over $12k for it and the 4 banger definitely has more balls then the Ranger....I test drove and compared a Ranger, Frontier and Taco, it was pretty close between the Frontier and Taco, the price is what finally swayed me to the Taco.

Hmmm, it might be Leesters truck in disguise. Are you sure it doesn't have a baby gate for a grill insert?

Spiffy little feature(I think) that was just encountered is the maintenance light comes on for a few seconds once in the run position after 3k miles to remind you to change the oil and stays on once it hits 5k miles if the oil hasn't been changed yet. Easy to reset and remove it once the oil has been changed.

I think the recall is for pre-05's. I got a recall notice a couple months back but for something minor.

How much oil does that engine hold? Is it 2 cups, or a whole 3 cups?

Justin, what kind of mileage does that thing get? I'm still looking for a crossover vehicle...that is, commuter on week days, worker on the weekends.

I just walked out and snapped a pic of the bed....don't mind my bike in the back. But you can see the adjustable mounts and the access panels on both sides of the bed near the tailgate.

Right now it just broke 5k miles and is getting 28 mpg.

Alrighty I'll have another Taco owner on board soon...my good buddy just bought an '05 ex.Cab pre-Runner Tacoma, same color as mine but cooler. We spent all day Saturday dealer hopping before he settled on this.

He just moved into a new house so his computer isn't up yet.

(BTW-He bought the house from the former lead singer of the band Tool)
