Hi Everyone.

I have found a dirt cheap 1990 chevrolet v8, i want to put this motor in and swap out my tiny v6. I alraedy know that the v8 will bolt right up to my 4 speed tranny. But i need to know if there any sensors or what exactly i need to change. I know that i need to change out the computer for a v8 one, but i was never really told anything else. Someone wanna help me out on this one???

Thanks
ryan

How much of the engine are you getting? Does it have the sensors on, say, the intake manifold and engine block already?

I *believe* the wiring harness will plug right in, since the engines are so similar.

I did a sample lookup on NapaOnline, and a lot of the parts are the same. I guess make a checklist and look them up for both vehicles.

And by the way, as long as you have the engine out, I'd replace the clutch. It'll save you the headache later.
