| Ground is ground, or at least it is supposed to be.
One of the best rules to follow in any car audio installation is to ground everything to the same point to help eliminate any hum/feedback in the audio.
So, you should be able to use your trailer-brake ground without any problems. If you get any noise issues, I would tie that into the radios ground wire as well. Electrically speaking, I don't know how far apart they are, but I doubt it will be an issue.
There is no standard for available current from the amp turn-on lead. Some can drive loads close to 1 AMP, others get wonky at 1/4 of that. Most modern devices that have a turn-on sense (amplifiers, external receivers, DVD player, etc.) are very high impedance on the turn-on input, so you can connect several things safely to the 1 turn-on output from your HU.

| Excellent! Thanks.
The turn-on lead is rated for a maximum of 300 mA @ 12v, but there will only be 2 things connected, the relay and the video bypass.
With the Crutchfield wiring harness the Pioneer will plug right into the oem radio wiring, complete with appropriate ground. Hopefully, have a second ground for the external accessories won't cause any ground loop interference.
