Ok i recently did a 4.3litre swap to a 5.3litre on a 2000 chevy silverado and we have everything its ready to roll except when you try to turn it over, it wont fire all of the other electrical comes on but it doesnt fire, now we tripped it with a wire and it will fire but then it die's. Does anyone have a clue what needs to be done?

Is it throwing a code? I imagine it probably is. See if you can get a read on that first, it may lead you somewhere.
Double and triple check your sensor connections.
Now that I think about it, that sounds like what happened when my old Camaro lost its programming in the PASSkey system. Its a different computer, so maybe the PASSkey system isn't jiving.

Yeah like everything will come on but the ignition wont turn over so!!! i was thinking it was the ignitions switch was fualty. but what did you have to do to get it to work?

No, silly. Actually, I had to take it to the dealer to have the PASSkey thingy replaced. I don't know how much it turned out to be (poor college kid had it parent-financed), but I know it wasn't cheap. I'd do some digging to see if you can bypass it somehow. This isn't the first time this sort of engine swap has been done.
