I have a 2005 F-250 with a stock six disc changer hu.
First:
Where is the factory amp located?
How can I run subs from the factory amp?

Secondly for different setup:
I have run a 4 gauge power wire to a kenwood amp and want to know can i tap into the six disc hu for the other connections? if so what color wire?
If anyone is willing to explain the whole process through with color wires and what gauges to use that would be great.

The best advice I can give you is to just put your cutters down and back way away!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI ( I'm a audio DB dragger..15yrs) Save up buy a head unit , that has CD changer phase in. Then use a amp kit and a radio install kit. Don't try to rig Jack Shiz up, It will mess your truck up.. Save and do it right..

As far as I know there is no amp unless you have a premium system as an option. The standard head unit 6 disc is internally driven.

When I was running my stock 6 disc, I used to have an amp connected to it to run 2 10" subs and another amp to power my upgraded door speakers. Because the outputs on the stereo are line-level outputs I had to buy a converter to make the outputs RCA. All I did then was take and tap into my back speaker with two wires that went into my converter then ran those into my amp and from there to my subs. For the door speakers, I did the same tap but tapped the actual speaker leads to each speaker location. The colors can be found simply by removing the speakers and seeing which color goes to it. The power all came from the normal wiring scenario for an amp.

This is the budget way to do it. I have since upgraded to an in-dash with RCA outputs for all components.

You can't really "tap" into the HU wires. You run RCA wires from the deck to the amp(s).....

Also if you have a factory amp it isn't even going to come close to efficiently powering a single 8" sub let alone 10's....

No disrespect intended But Not true.

And the RCA jacks only work where some are present. I can not speak for the '05 and up FORD 6 disc changer but the units prior to that had no RCA jacks.

I appreciate the help. I am still not sure if an amp comes standard in the truck or not. But for any one else wanting to install it yourself I was able to figure it out and here is how to do it:
Run a 4 gauge wire from the battery through the firewall there is a little black plug under the passenger console. Run a clothes hanger through and it will come up right next to the battery.
Then remove the dash partially to get the head unit out. The dash just clips in so pull gently along all the edges. Unscrew the four screws holding the head unit in and manuever it all the way out. You can tap into the Pink wire(it is 12v and turns on and off with the radio) to run your remote connection wire.
Remove the rear seatbelt on the passenger side. Unclip the plastic framing by pulling(same as dash). Tap into the rear speaker wires with a hi/lo rca converter.
Run a ground wire from any bolt.
Connect everything to the amp and your speakers to the amp and you are all set.
