Here is the problem, I just took my truck to Good Year and wanted new tires and shocks. They called me to advise the lower ball joints and the track bar needed to be replaced also, I approved the work and when I drove my truck it was swaying all over the road, I had to fight to keep it in my lane. I took it back to Good Year, they kept it for 3 days and then told me it was my gear box. I picked up my truck and took it to a Dodge Dealership paid 100.00 and they said gear box is fine, try replacing upper ball joints, since they were old and the lowers were just replaced. So I went back to Good Year and had them replace Uppers, it still swerves all over the road, I have to fight to keep it in my lane, any bump sets it swerving. What did they do wrong., My truck never did that prior to all this work.

| My guess would be the tires. Since you had multiple things done at one time, its tough to pin it down, but I've had vehicles where, just after a new brand or tread pattern, the rig will be all over the road.
Did you change brands? I might take it somewhere else and have them check the alignment, too. I would hope that was part of the service, but it sounds like they didn't do a good job at it.
Maybe a front-end guy could correct me here, but isn't the camber what makes the steering more or less twitchy? |
