| | A hose and a cap and a couple of clamps would be the cheapest and easiest place to start, that's what I'd probably do. | |

| Hold on a minute!
Get a new clamp and a piece of fine-grade sandpaper. Rough up the radiator neck and the inside of the hose enough to make the surface clean. Put the hose back on with the new clamp.
Betcha that'll work for ya. I had the same happen to me once - hasn't happened since I did the clean up.

| | Also, get a Dayco clamp, not one of those cheeseball Ford ones. We have a bunch of problems with those at work, breaking and falling off and what-not. | |

| | Well, thanks guys, I am going to go ahead and replace the hose and clamps, and I am going to use some screw type hose clamps, not the ones that are on there now. I will let ya'll know monday, casue I got to get this done before I go camping this weekend. If you don't here from me, I am either stuck on the side of the road, or eaten by a bear. Going to the catskills. | |

| | If the thermostat is sticking closed it would restrict the flow of coolant into the hose - not cause overpressure. | |

| Well, I replaced the stock clamps (squeeze type clamps) with screw type clamps, and also replaced the hose. I think I may just change the t-stat.
Seems to have run fine on the way up, but it was 1 month between the hose blowing off, so i guess I wil wait and see if it blow off in the next couple months.
Thanks all.
Nother question though, if I get e-fans, does that come with a new tstat or no? Just wondering.
