| I still have mine - you can look at some pics if you want. I love it. I never want to get rid of it. No decrease in power & I'm reaching that 120K mark. Me n my girl have been from Cali (where I bought it) to TX, Key Largo, up to Penn, to Little Rock & back to TX. Then from TX to NC, RI, MA...back to NC. To TX again, NC, to Ft Walton Beach & back to NC. Seems to get best gas mileage on cruise between 68 an 72. Used less than 50gal between Dallas & Charlotte! It's going strong & I do full "doctor visits" at EVERY 50k... 80 is a bit late. I hope he did 2nd one recently. I checked my tranny pan @ 110k & had barely any material in it - just beautiful. Love the GM mag-plug on the oil pan - no material whatsoever! I saw an 03 Yukon with 80k need a new tran cauz reverse fell out. But they were putting it into reverse at the same time they stepped on the gas instead of letting it shift 1st. It ground the gears right up. I'd let him drive it & watch him 2 see how he treats it then u you drive it & pay close attention to the shifting-there should b no clunking between gears. You will feel the shift but it will b a smooth pull of torque. When cold, she'll "clunk" into reverse with foot still on brake, but a soft clunk, not a harsh one. | |

| I think, at this point, he's either already decided to buy or not - or the truck's moved on to greener pastures.
