I recently got a Sundown Audio Nightshade 12, Did not realize how massive this sub was until I got it. Just the sub alone weighs 60 pounds, I put it on a digital scale to see. I put the Nightshade next to my solobaric 10L7 (which I thought was a large magnet), it made the 10L7 look like a flea market sub, lol. I will start a thread about the fiberglass enclosure I am working on, I have done some tests with the box and when turned up, you cannot focus your vision it hits so hard. I have it running off of a Sundown SAZ-1500D at 1ohm (1500 watts). This one sub is about about as loud as when I had two 12L7 subs running off a 1400 watt kicker amp, just one less speaker and a smaller box.

here is the sub next to 20" wheels and a NFL size football

A half rack of beer will do the same thing when it hits you in the head!

too funny, I just like having the option to turn it up be able to be louder than people that have 2 15s that take up the whole inside of the vehicle. I still have three rows of seats and even storage room behind the third row as well.

I just got back from Stereo FX (shop around the corner), their meter was broken, but they said I am in the mid 140s to low 150s dB range. I thought it was loud, but didn't realize it was that loud, maybe it is time to start competing again, lol.
