I am currently in Iraq and my wife tells me that the other day when driving it ran a little rough then died on the way to the store. After shopping for a few min she drove it right home with no issues. She was afraid to drive it as not wanting to damage anything. She had ran it a few times in the driveway without any problems but when she went to drive it around the block it died on her again. The only thing I can think of is the O-ring leaking on the HPOP. Has anyone had a problem with the O-rings and had them replaced with the new kit from ford? How much should the dealer charge for such a repair. I would like any and all advise on this being that my wife is scared to take the truck into the dealer because she feels the dealer will try to take her for EVERYTHING.

Check out the latest parts and accessories from Truck Hownd

Check around the ICP sensor. Might need a small mirror to check for oil residue. The 03 has it in the most awful play to get to, and it is prone to failing.

Also, check the wiring looms within the engine area. I had one bundle rub on a mounting stud and ground out. Did it intermittently with symptoms of fuel starvation. Mine was near the exhaust pressure sensor near the front driver's side of the engine. Common other locations are near the injectors.
To check, with the engine running and very carefully move wire looms around. Caution with hot and/or moving parts.
