This is for a quick data project I'm working on, please post up if:

1. You use the Porter Cable machine we suggest
and
2. You have our Generation 1 pad and adapter system
and
3. You have NOT ordered the Generation 2 pad and backing plate system.

Thanks!

I have a p/c that I used for years with your gen 1 pad system. I have not purchased the gen 2 stuff, because I don't wash cars anymore :)

If I did-- I'd certainly use your gen 2 stuff.

I have the DA and the gen one quick release pads from Adam's. I have not tried the Gen 2 pads. Looks like a good system. Any reason why you went with a bigger pad though. I am actually looking for smaller pads, like 4". Love the Velcro though.

Looks like I'm testing out the new Gen2 pads. Thanks Jason!

I'm going to have to borrow someone's car to try them out because my truck's paint is still immaculate.

I think I Have the Gen 2 pads if those are the ones that snap into place. They work fantastic and I have detailed with them so much I wore out a set of pads. My new pads went to detailing a 40 Ft SeaRay boat and they are almost worn out.

No the Velcro ones are definitely the old ones. I had those first. The snap on ones are far better.

I just got my new ones in the mail yesterday. I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Maybe this weekend.

They are velcro and they're about 7 1/2" in diameter though the disc is about 6". They're made of the same foam as the snap-on ones.
