I wanna see some long lists.. and explanations..

this is a branch of another thread..

what are some of the best truck shows ya'll have been to..

personally Im always going to enjoy the shows that started with and have been taken over by heatwaveinc.com

of course Ive never been to SEMA, yet Ive wanted to go for many years.. I hear people say that its probably gonna start leaning more and more on modifications to get you better gas mileage etc now.. but thats alright..

personally I also want to hear about the best places to compete or see mudding events too..

in a year or so, Id like to hit some shows Ive never been to.. but lots of people Ive talked to over the internet through the years will be there.. they might not want to meet me, but Id like like to see them and their vehicles in person..

no I dont want to go to import nights.. I want to go to truck shows.. big ones.. seriously.. no sarcasm..

are there florida members on this site, who go to the kind of offroad events that TrucksGoneWild.com puts in their videos?

There are still some big shows in NH, one of them drew almost 3 dozen trucks last time.

Arti - you should drive up to see one of the upper New England shows.

yeah I could do upper new england.. maybe atleast get a farthest distance trophy..

cool pics in that album btw, I have all of the TrucksGoneWild videos.. couldnt help recognizing Papa Smurf and a few others.. all be it you cant miss it when it says Papa Smurf on it.. haha..

Id love to eventually get in one of those videos.. that they usually make in Florida.. but just to be there will be cool enough.. Ive been to Florida many times, just never have driven there..

oh and yes, Ive also spent a good time up in the North East too.. I use to go for conventions and such.. or just to be a tourist, or hang out with friends who were going to college up there.. now I gotta drive and go to some of those events I've been hearing about every year on the other site.. XYZ days till (insert city here)..

I wont be in it for the trophies tho, I'll never turn my truck into a way too clean show truck.. it will always be dirty under there.. but it would be nice just to see different trucks.. rather then always seeing the same ones in Texas over and over.. plus I like getting the shirts from different events, etc..

what about the West Coast? is there still an Easter Spring Splash..? I drove to that show once.. it was almost as big as the heatwave.. tho the heatwave was smaller back then..

You should definately hit up the West Coast. Shows in Southern California are the best places to find potential girlfriends that one day might possibly, just maybe, pose for you nude. It's a wonderful place, and you could get the furthest distance trophy there too!

I had clicked on the link, saw a few choice words, and then came back here..

I was tempted to make a smart remark asking if his truck was in one of those parades or something.. maybe I just made the remark..

well anyways.. I know Dr Speed was being sarcastic, but if I could go to a show in Cali and meet a girlfriend and bring her back to Texas.. that would be really cool.. that would make driving to any part of the country worth it.. I made out with a Cali girl when I drove 24 hrs with a bunch of friends from 2 different clubs to Easter Spring Splash, but I didnt get to bring her back with me.. but life was easier back then because I was over 10 yrs younger, and in awesome shape (about 3 years after I stopped bodybuilding) AND YES we got the farthest distance club trophy..

oh and I have lots of pics of girls who took off their tops for us, or flashed for us.. some of my buddies had signs that said "Tits for Texas", and they worked amazingly well..

You beat me to it.

So you made out with some chick and couldn't close the deal. Wanna guess how many other dudes she'd made out with? Talk about living in a cloud. Arti, word to the wise, if you drive to some show way the fuck off, and by some chance DO meet a chick that will come back to Texas with you, she is a raving fucking loon. just a little friendly advice. Oh, and you might go get a few shots if you bed her, cause chances are if she had as many dicks poking out of her as she's had poked in her, she'd look like a porcupine.

I have traveled pretty extensively around the United States to participate in Car Shows of all kinds. From the high classed ones to the low riders and gang club sponsored shows. I've driven to all of them as far East as Knoxville, Tenn as far west as right on the Pacific Ocean. As far North as Washington State and as far south as next to the border of Mexico.

126 shows over 6 years. As far as this year I have not done one show to date.

Here are the list of shows in order of the best to worst starting with number 1 as being the best.

1. Grand National Roadster Show in Pamona sponsored by Hot Rod Shows

2. Seattle Roadster Show Sponsored by Hot Rod Shows.

3. Sacramento Autorama in Sacramento, Ca. Sponsored by Hot Rod Shows.

4 Portland Roadster Show in Oregon Sponsored by Hot Rod Shows.

5 Texas Heat Wave in Austin Texas Sponsored by Custom Sounds

6. Crusin For a Cure in Orange County, California Charity run by Debbie Baker for Prostate Cancer.

7. F-100 Supernationals in Knoxville, Tn.

8. Dub Empire Supershows all over America. I did three in California

9. Road Kings at Santa Anita Race Track in California. Sponsored by Road Kings.

10. Import Extreme Showdown Los Angeles Convention Center

11. West Coast All Truck Nationals in Santa Maria and Orange County.

12. John Force Car Show in Yorba Linda California Sponsored by John Force Racing Charity Toys for Kids

13. Cool September Days in Lake Tahoe Nevada. Charity Good Samaratian.

14. Les Schwab Show in Snohomish, Wash Sponsored by Les Schwab Tires

15. Fortuna Redwood Autorama in Fortuna, California Sponsored by Fortuna Chamber of Commerce.

16. Wings Wheels and Rotors Expo in Los Alamitos, Ca. Sponsored by Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce

17. Waves and Wheels in Santa Barbara, Ca.

18. Greatest Show on Turf in San Diego, Ca.

19. Last Vegas Truckin Nationals, Las Vegas, Nv

20. Mustangs at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, Ca. Sponsord by Beach Cities Mustang Club.

21. Saleen Show in Irvine, Ca. Sponsord by Steve Saleen

22. Fabulous Ford Forever in Buena Park, Ca. at Knotts Berry Farm

23. Lowrider "Ride N Deep" Bakersfield, Ca.

24. Bandimere Raceway in Denver Colorado

25. Topping it all Off in Denton, Texas

26. Mustangs by the Bay in San Diego, Ca.

27. Show and Go in Riverside, Ca.

28. Azalea Festival Car Show in Brookings Oregon

29. Biggest Little Car Show in Suisun, California

30. Ford and Friends Picnic in Romona, Ca.

The following Shows are run and sponsored by Gangs in no particular order. They are for the most part big shows which cost a lot of money with a lot to see.

31. Severed Ties Octoberfest Car Show at California Speedway, Ca.

32. Dub Show at Los Angeles Convention Center

33. Swift Showdown at Irwindale Raceway

34. Forbidden Fantasies, Lake Perris, Ca.

35. Ludikris Show at Rialto Municipal Airport, Ca

36. And the Prize for the worst run Show anywhere in the United States is......... California Truck Jamboree Spring and Summer Shows in Irvine, California. Two people have run this show and both for different reasons were the worst people who ever ran a show.
It is a big show and gets a lot of very good trucks but you'll never see me there thats for sure.
