Did anyone ever hear of anyone using paint on bed liner for rust proofing. I have extra paint on bed liner and was wondering if it could be used for a rust-proof coating for the wheel wells on the truck box? Any comments, I would think it would make a sealed tough protective coating. I live on a gravel road.

I think it looks badass. A word of caution: One time at the dealer I used to work for, the used car manager did ding the value of a potential trade-in for that, because of the cost of restoring it to factory original if needed. But that's the only time I've heard of it.

well as most people know mine is completely covered, and I plan on keeping mine until Im old or dead.. and just pass it on and keep it in the family..

so Im not worried about what dealers say about depreciation.. if nothing else, Im not even worried about most hail now..

Mine will see a recycling center, before it would/could be traded in....I'm rough with my vehicles.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of putting it on the inside of the wheel wells (out of site). But, it actually looks tough on the outside. Nice ride by the way, where did you get that killer brush bar?

That's a special case, though. They get excited about vehicles like Elvira and give a huge value on them (and usually take a bath on them when they're sold). We had a 1995 Saleen S351R traded in, gave a lot of money for it, and it sat for a long time. I'm sure they lost money on it.

Sounds like in the case I mentioned, they would've taken a loss, and the manager was trying to underbid him. That way, he'll either A. Say thanks for your time, and leave, or 2. Take the deal, losing some money. Either way, we wouldn't take a loss, which in business, is kind of important.
