Well shit. I type this soaked in sweat, thanks to Dolly, and the humidity she brought. Not slighting the people in South Texas affected worse than I, just describing the atmosphere. I had to chew the air to breath. I decided in my finite wisdom to take off today (90% chance of precipitation, which was 90% true) and tomorrow to clean up my truck for Monsters on Main Street tomorrow and Saturday. In the event I didn't mention, I haven't given it a REALLY good cleaning in a month or two, and figured it would take two days. It fucking rained every time I walked outside to do something to it. Finally about 6 pm, the rain let up and the oppressive humidity took reign, and I decided (again, in my finite wisdom) to go polish my wheels to get that out of the way. I have a set of 17" x something polished American Racing Mojave wheels with simulated bead locks. I know about posers and shit, so don't nail me on that, this is a daily driver, averaging 100+ miles per day around Houston. My gripe is that American Racing didn't put in ANY literature how big a PAIN IN THE FUCKING ASS it is to polish these wheels. Now, don't get me wrong, they look GREAT clean, but for fucks sake, I look like I have been sparring with Freddy Kruger. On top of that, the chrome on the simulated bead lock rings is SHIT!! American Racing has already replaced two of them, within a year of purchase, because the chrome was popping off and looked like herpes. Two weeks ago, I decided to see about getting another set of 4 rings, since underneath of them is fucked up and shitty looking, I now have to have the rings on it. Guess what, they discontinued the rings. Wheels too as far as I can tell. So here I sit, busted knuckles, with wheels that look like they have leprecy, sweaty as shit with some fucked up ass wheels. Needless to say, I won't EVER recommend or purchase American Racing wheels again.

Man that really sucks. I know just how you feel. I have been in that position a few times before, But once you get the truck cleaned up completely it will all be worth it.
