I need to clean up under the hood of my truck before tomorrow afternoon. I used something before and can't remember if it was Scrubbing Bubbles or Oven cleaner, but it worked well. this is a daily driver in Houston, and i don't have a whole lot of free time to keep it spotless, but would like to knock off the bigger grime under the hood. Any ideas? Preferably not something I need to order. Maybe a product that I already have in my house, or Oreilly's r the grocery store has.

I have used scrubbing bubbles, that has been a good method I have heard of. I usually use grease lightning or spray nine, works well for me each time.

I have used a combination of scrubbing bubbles, simple green and greez lightning. Scrubbed a little, rinsed off and then applied adams VRT and In and out spray, WOW!!!! I mostly use simple green on clients engines though.

Simple Green. Let it sit for about 10-minutes then hit it with a pressure washer (keep the nozzle at least a foot away - and definately avoid directly spraying electricals). Worked for me!

It really is a shame that the guy who made those caps went belly up.
