What are my fellow Truckbloggers watching for their main viewing TV's. Make, model and size? Any brands I should stay away from? My selection is limited to whatever Costco sells. I'm looking at between 36"-46" size, maybe a 52". I mostly watch racing.

Check out the latest parts and accessories from Truck Hownd

It got poor ratings as far as customer satisfaction, and I found this out after purchase, But I've been pretty happy with my VIZIO. I bought it at Costco and haven't had any problems. It's a 37 LCD for my Master bedroom. 1080P great picture and sound.

Mine's a Pioneer PDP 6010FD Plasma. 60-inches of incredible picture! Whoever said size doesn't matter is still watching TV on their cell phone from my perspective!

More here: http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/plasmatv/pioneer-pdp6070hd.html

Go Plasma! The picture is so much nicer!

I was actually talked out of plasma because the picture washes out more in the sunlight. Is this true?

I got a 37" Toshiba from Video Only. Its a 720p, and I don't have it hooked up to any HD stuff. I haven't figured out how to tweak the picture quality, and its fairly grainy, but it got the top rating, so it must be something I'm doing wrong.

I just bought a 47" LG LCD about 3 months ago, couldn't be more happy! I had a 1 year old 32" olevia which I moved to the bedroom. The Olevia is a great TV too, but it's only 720p and the 47" is SO much Bigger! Makes the 32" seem way small, lol

Here's LG site on the 47"

http://us.lge.com/products/model/detail/tv%7Caudio%7Cvideo_lcd%20flat%20panel__47LG50.jhtml

Shop around, I got mine for $1399 with free shipping

I've got a few various 42" Panasonic plasma TV's and monitors (monitor=no tuner, just various inputs) and a 60" AKAI that I bought on a whim one day.

We have a bunch of Vizios at work, and I'd buy one for home in a minute.

The truth is that for the average setup, it's not worth getting overly hung up on the little details.

The 42" Panny in the family room gets a lot of sunlight and hasn't seemed washed out. That one is the monitor from their commercial product line, so maybe it is brighter than average.

I don't know if Costco sells Philips, but I have the 50" with Ambilight and love it! as long as you have the right wall to put it on (white wall with room on each side of tv so light shows)

Plasma does get washed out by sunlight worse, my picture window is on the opposite side of the room, and at certain times of the day you need the blinds shut to watch the tv.

But overall I would recommend this tv to anyone!

I like the picture quality of a plasma over an LCD.BIGGER IS BETTER ,get the bigger set .37" is good for a bedroom. 52" is more like it for a livingroom.Mine is a 63" Philips plasma 720p .I HAVE NOT ONE COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS TV .

If I had to get a LCD I'd get this one

Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up purchasing a Samsung 46". Just picked up cable boxes and added the digital/HD service from my local cable provider. Christ Almighty, I thought gas was expensive.

I have the 50" Panasonic plasma and I love it. Bang for the buck you can't beat it. NASCAR is awesome, Football is so clear you can count the blades of grass and HD movies on it at night with the lights out is outstanding not that viewing during the day isn't. I have a 36" window to the left of mine and the pictures is always good.
