| For those of you that have been around a while - you will recall that Mort and I have had our digs at one-another. We've played that battle of wits (him being unarmed, of course). But in all honesty - I've always admired Mort and his ability to put intelligent rants together as well as a very sharp sense of humor.
But I wonder if, perhaps, we weren't separated at birth (albeit decades apart!). I'm pretty sure that Mort's not aware of this but 35-years ago my daughter was born. Her name? Layla.

Its now the end of day two, and I think I'm going to stay at home tonight, because Isaac's last T-ball game is tomorrow morning. But its killing me not being at the hospital. She's such a cutey I can hardly stand it, but I'm sure everybody thinks that about their babies.
Tom - That's just one of many coincidences this week. One of the groomsman in my wedding, Jeff, his sister-in-law was having a baby also. It was the appointment before ours (I knew she was pregnant, but hadn't talked to them in a while and didn't know she was delivering until I saw all of them in the waiting room). They literally wheeled her out right before they wheeled my wife in. We were in adjoining rooms after the surgeries (both scheduled C-sections), and we're just across the hall from each other now. Both girls. Not the same name, but if someone on this forum has a daughter named Alexis, I'm buying a lottery ticket. I also saw another friend in the hospital whose wife is pregnant with twins. I'm flattered that our daughters have the same name, and I will try to honor that name.
Dev - I was hoping nobody would notice. I even spelled it differently to throw people off. You're always one step ahead of me.
Patsey - Did you get the picture message?
And everybody is still doing very well. Leanna is up and walking around on a limited basis. Thanks again. | |
