hey guys, a question, on a 90 c1500 i put a set of drop shackles and relocation brackets on the rear for a 4" drop. its still not quite enuff, dont wanna do a flip kit cause i think 6" more would be way too much. any one ever remove the lower most leaf spring and go with a coil over shock? any suggestions would be great!

I thought the leaves were already on the bottom? So a flip kit would raise it.

And if you were to go with a coil-over shock, you'd remove all the leaf springs.

How much further down are you wanting to go? If its just an inch or so, you can remove the bottom leaf spring, but I don't know how that will effect your ride.

the springs are above the axle now, as far as a coil over goes, not an adjustable, monroe makes a "helper" type coil over shock, just find a set thats 4" or so shorter than stock. im only lookin for 2 more inces at best, maybe just go with a lower profile tire..

That will work but give you a little rougher ride. Youll feel all the cracks in the highway a little more.
