Just received a call from TXFFEMT. He came back from work and his truck had been stolen. It is hard to miss. White dually F350 mega lift, stacks, Punisher mudflaps, black striping on sides and "High Life" on tailgate, Alcoa rims with spikes.

Truck was stolen from the Fairway Inn parking lot in Laporte, Texas between 0730 and 1600 5/20/08.

If noticed please notify the proper authorities.

Thanks for looking and please forward this to other people you may know in Texas

UPDATE 1700 5/21/08

Rockin' Good News! Truck has been found! It's here in Houston at a Salvage yard near Almeda Genoa and North Freeway.

David doesn't know what shape it is in. He's on his way to the yard to see if he can see it as they closed at 4:30.

We will know more tonight after he calls.

David wants me to pass on his sincere thanks to everyone for spreading the word so quickly and their concern.

I will post up once I hear from him.

TA

That's just horrible. I'm always surprised that they take such noticable trucks.

I'll post this over at VirtualFord.org

I know La Porte, and I can almost promise that truck is headed west on I-10 or south west on HWY 90 to MEXICO. La Porte is almost nothing but "Illegal Aliens" and one of the worst places to leave a vehicle parked. That sucks, hopefully the cops flag the truck down before it gets too far.

I just put this up on the biggest network I could think

they actually run about 20 websites, and I emailed the senior webmasters about it..

http://www.texasoffroad.net/forum_php/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=stolen&Number=528610&fpart=&PHPSESSID=

NOW its too bad that the TEN sites are all down right now, eh?

hokay.. so far Ive added posts to four others, Im trying to remember passwords now.. usually I have them in the my favorites menu when I bookmark a site.. but I dont always do that..

laredocp4x4.com (laredo crawler posse 4x4)
sandmoffroad.com (smashed and mangled offroad)
texastruckscene.com
cypressoffroad.com

I'll edit this post when I add some more.. just so we can keep track

of course Im asking people to think of more sites to post this on too.. so eventually we might think of sites that already have threads.. cool eh? word of mouth on the internet rules..

I really hope this thread turns out like that one on the internet where people tracked down a car thief, took pics of him driving down the road in it.. ended up surrounding him at his house.. and made the local news..

hokay.. I remembered the one for pirate4x4.com

and on fullsizebronco.com I was having an error trying to get to a spot I could post at, but I sent the site administrator an email asking him to put the link up somewhere very noticeable...

I have another idea, but its gonna be a secret unless it happens.. I'll admit it, if it happens..

Well guys and gals, it is true. I have been a victim of the low life scum that can't work for their own pleasure. They have to steal someone else's. Believe me I could put a bullet in their head right now and not even blink an eye. I have no compassion for whoever did this.

I appreciate all the help in getting the word out about this. There was no way I would have known about all these sites that ya'll posted it on. Word of mouth is a big help and thank ya'll for doing that. I just worked a 13 hour shift and am getting ready to make some phone calls. I would be happy if I got a phone call saying that it was found and that the stereo equipment was stripped out of it. Believe me, I am not holding my breath on that one.

Thanks again ya'll and I will keep ya'll posted.

David,

I was talking to Curt about this last night. I don't know what the out come is going to be, this one is pretty interesting to say the least just due to the fact that your truck is....well, pretty damn noticeable. I guess it is like that cigarette boat that was stolen recently that was all over the news and never found. Anything is possible.

If you got the license plates to the DPS quick enough the cameras on 77 and 281 at the border check would pick it up.

You have put a lot of money in it recently with the stereo and new engine and all the blood, sweat and tears aren't replaceable. Your like me and every dollar we put into our trucks was worked for which makes it mean that much more to us. It would be like my truck getting stolen after I just finished the Cummins conversion, I would be sickened. I wish you the best and I hope you get it back.

Thanks guys. No, my pistol was not in my truck. Thank goodness. I am not holding my breath to get it back but stranger things have happened. Everyone I have talked to thought I was kidding when I told them about this. Believe me, I would not joke about this. I will keep ya'll posted.

Man, I was one of the people who did not believe your text msg at first. As soon as I heard you on the phone I knew it was true though..

I'm really sorry this happend man! I hope that it works out and you get your truck back in one piece.. I would guess that it was stripped as soon as it was stolen though. You never know, the morons might try to drive it. As many times as we get pulled over for our trucks, it would be awesome if they tried to drive it b/c they WILL get pulled over!

I posted it on thedieselstop.com also.. I added another thread on TDG b/c I did'nt see Tanks..
