| | One thing I know about diesel is that its almost $5 a gallon. I dunno, does it work for your situation? Buying a diesel just for a daily driver now is kinda foolish, unless you like spending a lot of money on fuel. | |

| My daily driver is a '04 f-150 crew. I was looking at lifting it (if I trade)and putting some 38's or 42's on it. I like having a lifted truck and a stock truck so useing it as a daily driver isn't an issue. I am wondering if this is a good deal or not.
Thanks | |

| Ah, gotcha. Well then, that's a completely different situation.
I'd go for it. The diesels that year aren't the strongest, but they are very reliable. Plus, the look of a crew cab long bed truck lifted to the sky is awesome. If its your buddy's truck, you've probably driven it, been around it, etc., so just make sure it isn't going to cost a bunch of money in repairs and upkeep, which would take away from mod money. | |

| It will be a N/A 7.3 idi Thats a naturally aspirated(non turbo) indirect injected motor. Its good for about 185hp and 350lb ft
Some info here http://www.oramagazine.com/archive/2004/08-august/0103-tech-finesse-2.asp
Since the truck is a 350, it should have a solid front axle, which will make lifting it much easier. Is the truck a manual or auto? The 5speed manual would be the most desirable IMO
Go for it! I love my lifted CC LB

| | That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Only thing is Diesel Fuel is more than Premium now. Still the F350 is a whole lot more truck. | |

| Thanks for the replys, I am going to make the deal. Aside from that I will also get another F-350 that he has for parts. It still has the axels on it so if I sell the axles at least I will get some of my money back.
Thanks Again Mason | |
