I did this on FTW for the past couple of years. It's shows that are going on around the state. You really need to use the point of contact to make sure this is the type of show that you want to attend. Also to make sure the show hasn't been cancelled. I always encourage folks to put up any event that other members may be interested in going to.

May 10 - Cecil Proffits Car show - This is a yearly event by Cecil Proffit, a long time custom car builder, car show promoter and KKOA Hal Of Famer. This event is held at his Museum, custom car garage and petting zoo grounds. It is located at his home in the Windsor area of Isle of Wight, Route 603- look for the signs. It is open to all that wish to show off their car, hot rod or bike. Donations to charity take the place of standard fees for the show, food, ice cream and t-shirts. It is a non-profit event for charity donations. There will be a catered chicken lunch, 3 bands, some animals as baby goats and horses, chickens for the kids to see and even an Elvis Presley impersonator. From 9AM Until? May 10 - The Kecoughtan High School National Honor Society - Having a Family car show on May 10th, 2008 from 10am to 4pm. The proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity, Guest entry is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. To sign up your vehicle we ask for a $25 tax-deductible donation. May 11 – The Fredericksburg Street Rods present the 18th Annual Mother’s Day Rod Run at Walker Grant Middle School located on Route 1 next to Purvis Ford in Fredericksburg, VA. The show runs from 9 AM to 3 PM. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Walker Grant Middle School’s Special Education Program. Pre-register before May 1st for a chance to win one of six $50 cash prizes. Dash plaques and goodie bags to the first 200, door prizes, adult games, long distance, hard luck and club participation awards. Top 25 and specialty trophies and a 50/50 drawing. Food will be available on the grounds, music provided by Music to Go. Pre-Registration is just $13. Day of show is $15. No alcohol or loud music allowed on the premises. May 17 - Thomas Dale High School 100th Anniversary Car Exhibit Sponsored by Oldies But Goodies Classic Cruizers. 10 a.m. to about 3:00 p.m. Car Owners can come and go as they please, or stay the whole time. This is part of the 100th Anniversary Commencement for Thomas Dale High School. OBGCC will provide the music and parking.. There will be two food vendors, Sibley's Barbeque and Chick-fil-a. Parking will be in the bus loop in front of the school and overflow into the student's parking lot, which holds over 500 cars. It would be nice if each alumni will put a paper on the front of their cars and print out their name and the year that they graduated so that everyone will know. There will be tours of the old Thomas Dale High School (Chester Middle) and the new Thomas Dale High School. No awards will be given. It is our gift back to Thomas Dale and its alumni. May 17 - Zions Crossroads Volunteer Fire Dept. 2nd Annual Car Cruz'n Show on Sat. May 17 starting at 3:00 PM lasting til the last car leaves. May 31 - 2nd annual Open House/Cruise In at Page Customs. This is not a contest or car show so there are no registration fees. We simply open up the shop to show folks what we do and how we do it. We encourage anyone with a classic car, street rod, etc. to bring it for the cruise in part. It is scheduled for May 31, 2008 from 2-5PM with a rain date of June 7, 2008 from 2-5PM. | Could the 17th be any more popular????????? Its the same way on the eastern shore. Tuckahoe steam and rail Truck and tractor show. Show starts at 8 am and pulls start at 5pm with reg starting at 3pm. Firefighter43(FTW) is having a Birthday party at his place all day Midatlantic Stangs and Fast Fords is having a Cruise in 4-8 pm procedes going to USO due to its Armed Forces Day that day. There is a bunch more, Oh yea don't for get about the F100 Supernationls in Knoxville that weekend as well! | | big03250
